Planning an investment, business growth or another change? I help you understand the financial and Dutch tax implications.

Getting the essentials right

Support that fits your business.

No one-size-fits-all packages. We start with your situation and agree on the bookkeeping review, tax returns and advice you actually need.

How I work

Bookkeeping review

A practical review of how your accounting software is set up and used. Not just whether transactions have been entered, but whether they have been recorded correctly.

  • Identify errors and risks
  • Business versus personal expenses, investments and VAT
  • Clear actions to improve your records

Dutch VAT returns

A review for each reporting period, preparation and submission of Dutch VAT returns, and checks that amounts are reported in the correct boxes.

  • Check VAT return categories
  • Reconcile bookkeeping and VAT returns
  • Explain discrepancies and answer questions

Annual accounts and figures

A reliable annual overview as a basis for your tax return, with an explanation of the results and anything that deserves attention.

  • Check reconciliations and plausibility
  • Profit and loss and balance sheet overview
  • Clear explanations and review points

Dutch income tax return

Preparation of your Dutch personal income tax return based on your bookkeeping and annual figures, taking your circumstances into account.

  • Substantiation of taxable business profit
  • Reconciliation between annual figures and tax return
  • Explanation of the outcome and tax reserve

Guidance and advice

As your business develops, your questions change. I help you weigh your options and their consequences — not just when a tax return is due, but whenever an important decision arises.

Plan ahead together

Guidance and advice

Not just looking back.
Planning ahead, too.

What do your figures mean for your plans? Can you afford an investment? What should you consider as your business grows?

I help you understand the options and consequences, identify important considerations and find a sensible next step. Advice matters beyond the tax filing deadline.

What can I take home?

Your profit is not necessarily money you can spend. We look at taxes, liabilities and how much you can responsibly use for personal expenses.

Can I take this step?

An investment or expansion takes more than a good idea. I help you assess your financial headroom and the implications for your business.

What should I expect?

Growth brings new decisions and responsibilities. I make the issues clear so you can make better-informed choices.

How I work

Clear steps. Personal contact.

You will quickly know what is needed, with clear agreements on scope and fees before work begins.

  1. We start with your situation

You explain where your business stands and what you are dealing with. We discuss your questions and the support you need.

  2. Agree on what is needed

You receive a list of the relevant documents. We agree on the work, secure delivery of information, the timetable and the fees.

  3. Review and clear explanations

I review your bookkeeping and carry out the agreed work: VAT, annual figures or Dutch income tax. You receive practical recommendations and explanations of the results.

  4. Support beyond the deadline

We discuss what the figures mean for you. If ongoing guidance would help, we can agree on how to stay in touch.

Experience that looks deeper

Around 20 years

of experience critically reviewing the work of fellow professionals.

Personally involved.
Careful with the details.

For around twenty years, I have specialised in reviewing the work of fellow professionals. That has taught me to look beyond the figures: do the numbers reconcile, are decisions properly supported and what needs a closer look?

I put that experience to work for self-employed business owners who value a careful review and personal guidance. I explain what I find and help you understand what to expect as you move forward.

No unnecessary dashboards. Just clarity, practical advice and someone who thinks alongside you.

Let’s talk

Good to know

Frequently asked
questions.

Have another question? Feel free to get in touch.

Ask a question
Do I have to outsource my bookkeeping?

No. We discuss what you handle yourself, what another provider already does and where my review or support would add value. The goal is reliable records and a division of responsibilities that suits your business.

I already use accounting software. Is that a problem?

Not at all. We first look at your existing records. Switching software is not the starting point; accurate processing and reconciliations between your bookkeeping, returns and annual figures matter more.

Can I also ask for guidance and advice?

Yes. For example, you may want to discuss tax reserves, an investment or business growth. Whether you need one-off advice or ongoing guidance, we agree on the scope and cost beforehand.

Can you help with a provisional tax assessment?

Yes. We review your expected profit and personal circumstances, then discuss whether to request or adjust a provisional Dutch income tax assessment.

I already have an accountant. Can I switch?

We can discuss that. First we assess what has already been done and what remains open. We then agree on the handover and who is responsible for each task.

What happens after I get in touch?

I will contact you to discuss your questions and the information needed. Before any work begins, we agree on scope, fees and timing. If you have a deadline, mention it in your message.
